We are talking about now, in 2012. Human beings living in caves. They do it to survive the incessant bombings by the Sudanese government.
I am not talking about the Darfur region. Now it’s the Nuba Mountains and the people of that region of Sudan. They too fought alongside the people of Darfur but when the borders were finally drawn, the Nuba people were left out in the cold.
They are now paying the price for going up against the army of President Omar al-Bashir in defense of Darfur and the southern region of Sudan. They are being bombed daily and starved to death. It won’t be long before they are all dead if nothing is done to feed them as al-Bashir makes sure they can not plant their crops. He sees to it, the bastard, with his daily bombings of their villages.
International agencies want to feed them, to help them, but it’s not safe with the daily bombings from al-Bashir’s jets. Oh humanity cares, but they care more about their own safety. One can not blame them for that.
So no one, other than Ryan Boyette , is there to witness the deaths of the slowly starving people of the Nuba Mountains. He reports on it as well as he can. People and groups try to help him get the word out about what is happening in the Nuba Mts. but ‘s next to impossible when journalists can not go there, for fear of their own death, thanks to the daily bombings by al-Bashir’s jets.
And the government of Sudan likes it that way.
The world needs to know about the people of the Nuba Mountains and what is being done to them. The World needs to know about the genocide. Ryan Boyette is trying to get the word out so that the Nuba Mt people do not die silently and in vain.
I think of Obama in his warm bed. I think of his children in their warm beds. Then I wonder why my country allows someone like Omar al-Bashir to commit such atrocities without being held accountable.
It makes me angry that I live in a country that turns it’s back on simple people like those in the Nuba Mountains.
But then, I remember how long it took to get anything done in Darfur and they are still suffering, if the truth be told. But the mountain people of Nuba don’t have the time to wait however. They are starving to death now if they aren’t bombed to death.
And the government of Sudan likes it that way.

They’ve never known want, they’ll never know need
Their shit don’t stink and their kids won’t bleed
Their kids won’t bleed in their damn little war
And we can’t make it here anymore
Obviously, Obama has known need. As did Bill Clinton before him.
Bill Clinton made $75 million in speaking fees this last decade. Apparently, selling out the people who vote for Democrats is big business.
And Obama is following that same gravy train.

look how many years it took to get attention paid to the genocide in Darfur. These ‘cave people’ are starving now and it breaks my heart. That no country comes to their aid or bitchslaps that fuckwit of a President for his genocide makes me wanna puke.
And I bitch about having cancer…I feel like a whiny baby when I hear about stories like this.
They’re living in caves here, too.
I know B4, but they aren’t also getting bombed by jets daily if they try to come out into the light.
This is just fucking sad! thanx for the post.
It’s more than sad..its life and death for them.
